Maiden of Vigilance
- Level 45: Spirit of the Crane
- Level 75: Diffuse Magic
- Level 90: Refreshing Jade Wind
- Always watch your Infusion and get into the right camp
- Soak the Hammer of your color (Heroic only). Mana Tea helps after the hit
- On the move in phase 2 Revival can save your raid
While fighting the Maiden of Vigilance the bosses infuses the raid randomly with Fel Infusion or Light Infusion. If you stand near players of the other infusion you both gain Unstable Soul. Jump into the center as your debuff expired to ensure you do not blow up on the raid.
The boss casts two hammers, starting with Hammer of Creation (Light) then Hammer of Hammer of Obliteration (Fel), performing a cone attack on the active tank and must be soaked by the raid member of the matching infusion. Use Essence Font and Refreshing Jade Wind in combination with Mana Tea to heal up after each hammer.
The hammers leave a AoE pool on the floor so step out quickly. The pool starts to spawn small swirls aiming for players of the opposite infusion and can trigger Unstable Soul so keep an eye on positioning constantly.
In the transition phase the Maiden teleports to the other side and casts Wrath of the Creators a raid-wide AoE which gets increasingly stronger. You can use Essence Font and Refreshing Jade Wind on the move to heal the raid as you position. Revival brings up your raid quick but keep in mind the AoE gets stronger each tick.
There are two good moments for your defensive cooldowns. You can either use it to mitigate damage while Wrath of the Creators or when soaking a hammer. If too many of the same infusion have to jump down the elevator shaft at the moment of a hammer, it can kill you so be aware of the number of soakers.
Using Chi Burst for every other Hammer allows you to quickly top the group. Pair this with Velen’s for additional effect. Positioning yourself on a ‘rail’, essentially between the orbs, allows you to cast without needing to move. As long as your group stays stacked the orb explosions should splash onto you.
During the transition phase we can get quickly to the boss again, using Roll / Transcendence as needed. Do not move early, as the stun is based on your distance to the boss (Closer = Long Stun). Watch position for orbs as you move on the platform.
Transcendence can be used to get back on solid ground instantly when dropping the Unstable Soul debuff.
The major change on Mythic is the introduction of Spontaneous Fragmentation. This will spawn a colored orb under the feet of a player of the opposite color. These orbs will chase that player unless soaked by players of the same color as the orb. Because of how you have to position the group to handle this mechanic, your tanks will be solo soaking the hammers, so you won’t have to worry about that anymore.
