15 Row: *Chi Wave if running Charred Passions
35 Row: There’s no real use for Ring of Peace, but there’s no real use for Summon Black Ox Statue either.
Phase One: Kyra and Signe
We’ll tank them pretty close to where they spawn, just pull them a little close to the middle of the room so that Fragments have room to go out to the edge. Fragments of Destiny will happen in phase one in mythic, and all we really need to be aware of as tanks is that if we’re too close to the group, it may jump to us. If this happens, just walk to the edge of the room where dispels are happening and call for a dispel.
Our only taunt swap in this phase is Unending Strike from Kyra, and we’ll swap on three stacks.
Make sure that one of the tanks grabs threat on the Formless Mass when it spawns.
All of the heroic mechanics stay the same. There’s a lot going on in this fight, but it’s all extremely intuitive and easy to deal with. Dodge lines, soak meteors, move into safe zones and out of danger zones. For how many different mechanics there are from the other val’kyr, there’s really so little that we need to do specifically as tanks, and almost nothing requires pre-positioning or anticipation of an event happening. Feel free to play extremely reactively on this fight.
Phase Two: Skyja
When Skyja drops, have the tank currently tanking Kyra grab her, as the other tank will be able to taunt Kyra shortly after. At this point you can taunt swap Skyja and Kyra, and ignore swapping Signe as she doesn’t do any tank-specific mechanics.
Our taunt swap on Skyja is Pierce Soul, and we’ll taunt on two stacks.
Positioning-wise, the only thing to be aware of is later in the fight when she calls on Annhylde for Annhylde’s Bright Aegis, then casts Word of Recall immediately after. Make sure once you bring her out of the shield, that you tank her close to the edge of the room to leave plenty of space to move out of the second shield.
This fight is extremely simple for tanks considering the number of mechanics that there are. Nothing hits particularly hard, so use cooldowns and Celestial Brews freely. Don’t sit on them the whole fight, since there’s nothing specific to hold them for.
