Midnight’s second patch is bringing nothing in the way of changes, but it is adding a new raid boss with good loot and an additional “talent” tree in the Omnium Folio for some more time-gated borrowed power… since we needed more.

What’s New
Sporefall + Rotmire
The new boss, Rotmire drops Heroic pieces at 285 and Mythic pieces at 298. This means that nearly everything it drops is probably Best-in-Slot:
- Festerbloom Crown – Get this and Catalyze it
- Sash of the Putrid Giant – Get this and sim if you should Catalyze it
- Rotmire’s Sporeheart – Good secondary stats and 298 item level. The cantrip is designed for healers, but instant Vivify should trigger this and a shield that deals additional damage is better than no shield at all.
- Sporecaller’s Blooming Loop – Good secondary stats and 298 item level. This has a cantrip for DPS, so this is a clear Best-in-Slot ring to be paired with Loa Worshiper’s Band or Eye of Midnight if you are using Arcanoweave Lining
- Sporelord’s Mycelial Insignia – The only piece that isn’t a slam dunk. Since trinkets like Gaze of the Alnseer and Algeth’ar Puzzle Box can be upgraded to 298 with Ascendant Voidcore, the strength of this trinket is on-par with Gaze of the Alnseer for the passive trinket slot.
Rotmire is a relatively simple boss with add spawns and mechanics that play to a Windwalker’s strength perfectly. Enjoy feeling like an all-star and blasting the adds if that’s what you’re into.
Omnium Folio
A time-gated, weekly unlocked, “talent” tree, this provides some more borrowed power to slowly nerf the current raids. Here’s the current recommendation:
- Week 1 – 1st Row
- (Default) Rune of Void-Touched Orbs – for ST and low-target cleave (Raid and Mythic+ bosses)
- Rune of Unleashed Fire – for +4 target AOE (Mythic+ trash and raid padding)
- Week 2 – 2nd Row
- Rune of Self-Mending if you want pseudo-Leech
- (Default) Rune of Void-Tainted Shell – prevented damage is better than healed damage
- Rune of Lynxlike Reflexes – if you are racing, I guess
- Week 3 – 3rd Row
- Week 4 – 4th Row
- (Default) Rune of Critical Power – stacking Crit is generally more useful
- Rune of Burning Haste or Rune of Masterful Cunning – if they sim better
- Week 5 – 5th Row
The 1st, 4th, and 5th Rows are best simmed for your character as there may be variations.
